Death of the Valley God is a short prototype inspired by text-adventures and interactive fiction and old RPGs. Its an exploration of reading in games, and text as interface. I wanted to explore an illustrated storybook style without pulling the player out of the imaginary world created by the text itself.
The Beginning of the End
In Death of the Valley God, you take on the role of an apprentice from a secretive guild. Sent to the Valley to investigate the disappearance of one of your own many years before.
Their path leads towards the locked and ruined city deep within the valley. Overgrown and protected by ancient machines, the city holds within it the answers you seek.
